Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has unquestionably achieved the status of an all-time blockbuster. Despite being released almost a month ago, the film continues to perform exceptionally well with packed theaters. Even with the clash with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, Gadar 2 has succeeded in entertaining the audience and generating impressive box office numbers. However, now that SRK’s Jawan has been released, the film is expected to face some competition. Anil Sharma, the director, expressed his thoughts on this matter.
In an interview with the Indian Express, Anil Sharma was asked if he had any concerns about the box office competition with SRK’s pan-India spectacle. He responded, “Both movies will thrive. The audience will equally enjoy both films. Even when I watched Pathaan… you see, I’m a devoted fan of Shah Rukh Khan. When the trailer for the film was released, it received its fair share of criticism. But when I saw the Pathaan trailer, I declared it a surefire hit. People had commented, ‘The trailer is quite underwhelming.'”
He went on to say, “I loved Pathaan’s trailer, and I found the movie even more enjoyable. Now, I’ve also been impressed by the trailers for Jawan, and I’m eagerly looking forward to watching the film. I’m not sure what the industry’s verdict will be, but it’s bound to be a massive crowd-pleaser. The music, dancing, and dialogues all look fantastic and very appealing. As an SRK fan, I’ll definitely be in the audience on the opening day.”

People are longing for a communal viewing experience, and films like these fulfill that desire. The industry will only benefit from Jawan. Such films are crucial,” Anil Sharma concluded.
Gadar 2, featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, was released on August 11 and is an official remake of the 2001 hit Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. On the other hand, Jawan, presented by Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma, is now releasing worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
