Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated film, “Jawan,” finally graced cinemas on September 7th, and as expected, it made a significant impact on its opening day at the box office. “Jawan” etched its name in the annals of history with a remarkable performance. According to industry reports, this SRK-starrer generated an impressive Rs 74.50 crore in India on its first day. Furthermore, its global box office collection soared to Rs 129.06 crore, firmly establishing “Jawan” as the most successful Bollywood opener of all time.
‘JAWAN’ BOX OFFICE HIGHLIGHTS “Jawan” has quickly emerged as a box office powerhouse. On its inaugural day, the film garnered Rs 74.50 crore in India, across all languages, as reported by industry sources. In the Hindi version, the film enjoyed a substantial 58.67% occupancy rate on Thursday, with Chennai leading the way with an 81% occupancy rate.
Pooja Dadlani, SRK’s manager, unveiled the final worldwide figures for Day 1, revealing that “Jawan” had broken records by amassing a colossal Rs 129.06 crore globally, making it the most successful opening day in the history of Hindi cinema.

The film’s success extended beyond Indian borders. “Jawan” also made history by grossing AUD 400,000 in Australia on Thursday, becoming the first Indian film to top the Australian box office. In New Zealand, it debuted at the number one spot, earning NZ$ 79,805 (equivalent to Rs 39.13 lakh). In Germany, “Jawan” made an impressive entry at the third position with earnings of Rs 1.30 crore. The movie also started its journey successfully in North America, the UK, and Canada.
