The highly anticipated film “Jawan,” featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, is set to hit theaters tomorrow, on September 7th. This action-packed thriller has already generated significant buzz in the lead-up to its release. To further increase the excitement, the filmmakers have organized an exclusive screening for celebrities, with Shah Rukh Khan making a prominent appearance.
A video capturing SRK’s arrival at the screening has gained widespread attention, even though he remains hidden from view due to raised car windows. “Jawan” is poised for exceptional advance bookings, with expectations of surpassing the 50 crore nett mark. It remains to be seen whether it can break the records set by “Pathaan.” While advance bookings typically exceed those of “Pathaan,” national chains are facing programming challenges, including holdovers and incomplete shows.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh revealed that “Jawan” has already sold over 3 lakh tickets for its opening day. He shared, ” #Jawan ADVANCE BOOKING STATUS NOTE: Tickets sold for Thu / Day 1 at NATIONAL CHAINS… Update: Wed, 10.15 am. #PVR + #INOX: 318,500 #Cinepolis: 72,500 Total: 391,000 tickets sold Till Tue night… #Miraj: 34,616 #Moviemax: 10,500 #CityPride: 3,200,” on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Notably, “Jawan” features dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu, an impressive achievement for a Hindi film, considering the film’s strong South Indian influence, from supporting actors to a prominent director from the Tamil film industry. However, this could potentially impact the Hindi version’s box office collections in the South, as some viewers may prefer to watch it in their local languages. Such a situation has rarely occurred outside of “Brahmastra” in Telugu, as Hindi typically remains dominant, even with dubbed versions.
“Jawan” is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film will have a worldwide release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
