Jawan” Makes a Spectacular Box Office Debut: Shah Rukh Khan’s Movie Sets New Records as Bollywood’s Biggest Opener
The latest blockbuster “Jawan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, has taken the box office by storm on its opening day, poised to become the most significant Bollywood opener in history. “Jawan” has already surpassed the advance ticket sales of SRK’s previous release, “Pathaan,” boasting a remarkable 14 lakh tickets sold. Directed by Atlee, the film is making its worldwide theatrical debut today.
According to a report on Sacnilk.com, “Jawan” has amassed an impressive Rs 35.6 crores at the Indian box office, thanks to its phenomenal advance bookings. With a release in approximately 10,000 screens, it ranks among the widest releases ever for an Indian film.
Furthermore, “Jawan” includes Deepika Padukone in a special appearance, and its first screening began at 6 am amidst grand celebrations. Film industry expert Taran Adarsh predicts that “Jawan” is likely to achieve an opening day box office collection of Rs 85 crores across all languages.
Mukesh Chhabra, a casting director who attended the premiere of “Jawan” last night, highly praised the film’s “massy” appeal. Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly known as Twitter), Mukesh wrote: “Jawan took me on an emotional roller coaster. I want to express my gratitude to @iamsrk, @Atlee_dir, and @_GauravVerma for letting me be a part of this film. Even if I wasn’t involved, it moved me profoundly and gave me goosebumps. It stands out as one of the finest Bollywood and Pan-India films I have ever had the privilege of witnessing, combining mass appeal with a profound message.”
“Jawan” is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film is releasing worldwide today in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
