Following the blockbuster success of “Kabir Singh” and the substantial pre-release buzz surrounding “Animal,” director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is reportedly preparing for his next Hindi film project titled “Spirit.” The latest reports indicate that Prabhas will take the lead role, with production set to commence by June 2024. Bhushan Kumar is set to produce the film, confirming this exciting development in a recent interview.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bhushan Kumar shared, “Currently, I want the audience to focus on ‘Animal.’ Afterward, we will take a break of around five to six months before initiating work on ‘Spirit.’ Following that, we will embark on a project starring Allu Arjun.” This forthcoming collaboration with Allu Arjun will represent another partnership between Bhushan and Sandeep.
A source, as reported by Pinkvilla, provided more insight into “Spirit,” explaining, “The objective is to begin filming by June 2024. It’s an action-packed film, produced by Bhushan Kumar, featuring Prabhas as a police officer. However, unlike traditional cop thrillers, ‘Spirit’ will incorporate Sandeep’s distinctive storytelling style. The preliminary script work has already been completed, and full-scale production will commence after the release of ‘Animal.'”
“While the Allu Arjun project has been formally announced, it will take some time before it goes into production. The core concept for the film, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is established but will only move forward after ‘Spirit,'” the source added.
Regarding their collaborative partnership, Bhushan Kumar expressed, “We are like a family now. He enjoys working with me, and I enjoy working with him. I provide him with complete creative liberty. Both he and his brother are collaborators in all the projects we undertake together. I believe that the director who conceives a project should not only receive compensation but also share in the success of the film, be it at the box office or on any platform. This approach fosters a very comfortable and mutually beneficial relationship.”
Meanwhile, their latest joint endeavor, “Animal,” boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor, among others. The film is scheduled for release on December 1st of this year.
