OpenAI has declared its inaugural developer conference, which is scheduled for November 6.
This full-day event, known as OpenAI DevDay, is set to include a keynote presentation and interactive sessions led by technical experts from OpenAI.
The primary goal of the conference is to bring together developers from across the globe with OpenAI’s team, fostering collaboration and providing a sneak peek into upcoming tools and innovations.
OpenAI stated, “Since the introduction of our API in 2020, we have been consistently enhancing it by incorporating our most advanced models. This ensures that developers can seamlessly integrate state-of-the-art AI into their projects through a simple API call.”
At present, more than 2 million developers are utilizing GPT-4, GPT-3.5, DALL·E, and Whisper for a variety of applications, from integrating intelligent assistants into existing software to creating entirely novel services and solutions.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We eagerly anticipate showcasing our latest developments to empower developers in their creative endeavors.”
However, it’s important to note that any information regarding GPT-5, OpenAI’s anticipated next-generation generative AI model, will likely not be disclosed during this event.
Registration for the conference will commence in the coming weeks, with OpenAI limiting attendance to “hundreds” of developers.
OpenAI is making substantial progress towards profitability, with projections of reaching $1 billion in revenue next year.
Furthermore, Microsoft-owned OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Enterprise, a business-focused version of ChatGPT.
